"The Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) in Nashville is preparing recommendations for a new rapid transit corridor that will extend from the Five Points area of East Nashville west through downtown Nashville to the White Bridge Road area of West Nashville. Initially described as the "Broadway/West End Corridor", this proposed rapid transit corridor will connect the many activities of this corridor with rapid transit travel that will benefit commuters, residents, customers, students, visitors...virtually anyone who wants to experience this "main street." The East-West Connector will be the next major step in turning our region's "Bold New Vision for Transit" into reality.
The Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee will be hosting a series of "Community Conversations" about this rapid transit corridor later in 2012. To be updated on these meetings and on each step as this plan evolves, just click here."—Ed Cole, Executive Director
